Reshuffling the Portfolio
I stepped in today and bought some AMZN for the long term portfolio at $952.20. If there was any one company that could take over the world, it would be Amazon. I also added to IBM last friday at $139.70, lowering my average cost to around $145. The 4.3% dividend it yields at this level is very attractive, and will lower my cost basis $1.50 every quarter. I intend on adding to both positions in the future.
All major stock markets- US, London, Japan, China- are all still in a solid uptrend. Many people are calling a ‘top’ here as leftists and neo-nazis alike bust open monuments across the US, but I just see it as short term volatility. I love buying solid companies into bad political headline news in a bull market.
